At the Cosmopolitan Music Society, we believe that musicianship is a life-long activity that should not stop simply because you have turner 18 or finished high school. We want everyone to have the opportunity to sing and play instruments well into their senior years!

As part of our mission to build life-long communities through music, we are instituting The Cosmopolitan Music Awards for exceptional Grade 12 jazz band, concert band and choral students who demonstrate musical excellence and service to the community.

You may nominate only one student per category (jazz, concert, choral). The students are not expected to enter a university or other formal music education program.

The scholarship includes: $250 bursary and a one-year membership to the Cosmopolitan Music Society ensemble of choice (approx. value $450), totalling $700. Winners can choose from any of our ensembles which include multiple jazz and concert bands, handbells and a mixed chorus.

The school of the winning students will be given a beautiful plaque to display for the year and the student will be given a lovely certificate to recognize their achievement.
